EISENWARENMESSE is the world's leading trade fair for tools and hardware. The 2026 edition brought around 2,500 exhibitors from 53 nations and 33,000 trade visitors from 125 countries across eleven hall levels, with more than 90 percent of exhibitors coming from outside Germany.
It is also the first major hardware event of the European year, held in the week when distributors close their autumn and winter assortments. Germany is Europe's largest DIY and hardware market, and most of the continent's buying offices are within a day's travel of Cologne.
For a workbench supplier, the show is the annual checkpoint on European requirements: packaging language, carton strength, spare parts supply and certification. Those four points, more than the product itself, decide whether a bench reaches a retail shelf.
